A Message from Father Peter
With the ever growing concern, world-wide, and at home regarding the Coronavirus, I wanted to reach out to you and inform you of our response to this pandemic. First, let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul; (2 Timothy 1:7) “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Secondly, let us exercise “wisdom.” (Proverbs 2:6) For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth comes knowledge and understanding.”
In light of the growing health crisis, in response to the request of public officials, and upon the recommendation of health experts, Bishop Tobin has directed that the celebration of all public Masses and other liturgical services be suspended until further notice.
Our Church will be open every day from 9 am until 12 noon for personal prayer and devotions. Our weekly bulletin will be available in the front of the Church allowing you to keep up on all Church matters. Additionally, you can read and download the most current Church bulletin under the publications tab above, on this site. The online giving tab on this site will allow you to make a weekly donation to the Church in lieu of sending in your budgets, or sign up for a weekly, monthly, or special donation. We encourage you to explore this giving opportunity. If you need assistance with online giving, please call the parish office and we would be happy to help you.
I will be celebrating Mass on the steps of the Church at 4:00 pm on Saturday evenings and at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings. You are invited to watch the Mass from your car in the front parking lot of the Church and will be instructed to turn your radio dial to a particular frequency in order to hear the Mass. There will be signs as you enter the parking lot with information for you. There will be no communion, no collection and no getting out of your cars during the Masses.
We will be celebrating Mass in this manner for as long as necessary.
Please spread the word about the celebration of Mass. God bless you all.
